praesidium: (✒ everybody see i love him)
private - admiral.
Dear Admiral,

I will try to be as brief as possible.

For Hannibal, I would ask that he be given bottle of Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac; I'll let you select the vintage. I'm not sure what he's managed to bring from his kitchen, but I would also ask that he be given his collection of recipes and perhaps a few he hasn't managed to test yet. And for Abigail, while I don't want to overstep my bounds with her warden, I would still like for Abigail to have a key to my cabin. I would also like for her to have some clothes. Whatever style she wants though strictly no scarves or turtlenecks.
[She probably has enough of those and Alana doesn't want to encourage regression.] I'd also ask that she be given CDs of music she likes and a stereo system for her room.

For Vin, I would like to give her seeds, pots, and whatever tools she may need to grow a small garden and assortment of plants in her room. If you could also provide her with a book with some photography of forests and natural reserves around the world, I would also appreciate that. I'd ask that Ben be given a few books on the subject of psychology, particularly in the field of trauma though general would possibly not hurt either. I'm not entirely sure what Ryan would like, but I would ask he be given something from his home. Something he feels good about and would feel better having. I don't know if it would be entirely possible, but I would ask for Arkin that he be given a dog.
[He seemed like someone who could use a dog.] If that's not something he'd be interested in though, I'd ask you also give him something from home.

Lastly, please send Ned a few outfits and toys for Digby. I'm not really sure what to ask for Ned himself, but I think he'd appreciate that for Digby. And for Charles, I would ask that you give him a subscription to a few peer-reviewed journals in his areas of academic interest if at all possible.

Sincerely,
Alana Bloom, MD

Not to distract from all of the holiday festivities, but I would like to briefly announce that I will be taking clients shortly. Inmates and wardens alike are welcome, but preference will be given to inmates. The limits of confidentiality also apply here as they would if I were home.

For inmates, your warden will not know the content of our sessions unless you give express consent to share this information. The only exceptions to this being if you report that you are a danger to yourself or others. And if you change your mind about sharing what is discussed during sessions at any time, that is within your rights.

[She smiles a little.]

And Winston can be in the office at your request as well if that would make you feel more comfortable.

If you have any questions, you know where to find me.
